11,702 students allotted Class 1 seats under RTE lottery in AP

The School Education Department has released lottery results for free admissions into Class 1 in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic year 2025-26. A total of 11,702 students were selected, Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B Srinivasa Rao announced.

The lottery was conducted after an additional notification was issued to fill vacant seats in private schools within a 5 km radius. Parents were given another chance to apply online between August 12 and 20. Both fresh applicants and those who were not allotted seats earlier were included.

Selected students must complete admission by August 31 by submitting necessary documents, including caste, income, Aadhaar, date of birth and disability certificates, along with sibling details if applicable. Authorities have warned that admissions will be cancelled if the deadline is missed.

Parents have been informed of the results through SMS, and the full list is available at https://cse.ap.gov.in. Srinivasa Rao said the initiative under the 25% reservation quota ensures that children from underprivileged and disadvantaged families gain access to quality education in private schools.
