Amaravati — In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh government transferred 12 District Collectors, with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu addressing the newly appointed officials via video conference on Thursday, urging them to adopt a humanitarian approach in their duties.
Naidu emphasized the critical role of Collectors in implementing development programs effectively, encouraging them to engage directly with citizens to gather feedback and deliver results. “A posting as District Collector is a unique opportunity for officials to showcase their talent and earn public trust,” he said.
Reflecting on his own experience, Naidu recalled spending 10 days in Visakhapatnam during the 2014 Hudhud cyclone to boost public confidence. He described the new Collectors as his ‘team’ and pledged to recognize top performers.
