Arrangements are underway for the Sharannavaratri Utsavams at Sri Raja Rajeswari Ammavari temple from September 22 to October 2. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, along with TDP leader Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, held a preparatory meeting with the RDO, DSP, and officials on Thursday.
MLA Sridhar Reddy urged that political banners not be displayed during the celebrations. “Leave positions and politics outside the temple. I, too, enter as a devotee, not as an MLA,” he said.
He directed officials to ensure devotees face no inconvenience and that donors are received with due temple honours. A 10-member Trust Board has been constituted to oversee arrangements.
Sridhar Reddy assured officials of full freedom to make all necessary arrangements and urged them to provide services in a spiritual atmosphere.
