Anakapalli in-charge and Excise & Mines Minister Kollu Ravindra launched the ‘Auto Driverla Sevalo’ scheme in the town on Saturday. The event took place in the presence of BJP MP CM Ramesh, Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, and Collector Vijaya Krishnan.
The three leaders, after donning auto khaki shirts, led an auto rally from the RDO office to the market yard in Anakapalli. Notably, CM Ramesh drove the auto with Minister Kollu Ravindra, Collector Krishnan, and Speaker Ayyanna onboard.
Addressing the gathering at the Auto Driverla Sevalo event, Kollu Ravindra emphasized the coalition government’s commitment to the welfare of auto drivers. He highlighted the efforts of the State government under the leadership of the Chief Minister. Kollu then recalled the state of affairs during the previous YSRCP government. The minister accused YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of betraying the people of the State after coming to power in 2019.
Jagan slammed over fiscal mismanagement
The minister criticized the poor fiscal management of the previous regime. He remarked that the former chief minister had burdened auto drivers with taxes and fines amounting to ₹30,000. Yet, he offered only ₹15,000 in support.
Furthermore, Kollu Ravindra recalled being jailed on false charges, similar to Ayyanna and Chandrababu Naidu. He also criticized Jagan for his absence in the Assembly. He asserted that it was the people—not the government—who denied him the Leader of Opposition (LoP) status.
Later, the minister reaffirmed the State government’s commitment to the public, citing the successful implementation of the Super Six promises and the Auto Driverla Sevalo scheme.
