AP Cabinet clears key decisions on Friday

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has approved a slew of key decisions aimed at welfare, infrastructure, and urban development. Among the highlights is a scheme to provide ₹15,000 annual financial assistance to auto and cab drivers. The Chief Minister will launch the scheme on Friday at Makineni Basava Punnayya Stadium in Singhnagar, Vijayawada.

Welfare push for transport workers

The Cabinet approved the proposal to extend financial support to auto and cab drivers under the Auto-Driver Seva welfare initiative.

Boost to Amaravati Capital works

The AP Cabinet also cleared the creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to expedite developmental works in Amaravati, the State’s capital. Land allocations to institutions across Andhra Pradesh, including Amaravati, also received a green signal.

Other key Cabinet decisions

Officials said the AP Cabinet approvals signal the government’s commitment to infrastructure, welfare, and economic growth. With AMRUT 2.0 projects, Amaravati’s SPV, and land incentives for technical hubs, the State aims to fast-track development. Additionally, it ensures social welfare measures are not overlooked.
