In a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh’s industrial expansion, the Raymond Group has announced two major projects worth ₹1,000 crore. These fall under the State’s Industrial Development Policy 4.0 (2024–29).
The twin ventures, aerospace and automotive component manufacturing, are set to generate 5,400 direct jobs in Sri Sathya Sai District. This positions Andhra Pradesh as India’s new hub for advanced manufacturing.
Raymond’s first aerospace project to take off in Andhra Pradesh
Under the newly launched Aerospace Policy, Raymond’s subsidiary JK Maini Global Aerospace Limited will set up a high-tech aerospace facility in Sri Sathya Sai District. The investment amounts to ₹510 crore.
The plant will manufacture precision components for global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. It will integrate Andhra Pradesh into the global aerospace supply chain. Commercial production is expected by May 2027, creating 1,400 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect opportunities.
Auto component plant to create over 4,000 jobs
In parallel, the Raymond subsidiary, JK Maini Precision Technology Limited, will establish a world-class automotive component manufacturing unit at Gudipalli. The ₹430-crore project aims to create 4,096 jobs and serve leading automobile brands in India and abroad.
The facility, also expected to start production by May 2027, will contribute to regional skill development and ancillary industry growth.
Government approves ₹700 crore incentive package
The Industries and Commerce Department has issued G.O. Ms. No. 196 and G.O. Ms. No. 197. These formalise approvals and offer a special incentive package worth ₹700 crore. The incentives will accelerate the rollout of both projects under the Industrial and Aerospace Policy. This ensures Andhra Pradesh maintains its investor-friendly edge.
Naidu-led SIPB clears investment proposals
The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, cleared the proposals. This occurred after a detailed review.
The projects were recommended by the State Investment Promotion Committee. They are part of the ‘Speed of Doing Business’ initiative.
The Industries Department will facilitate the process through a dedicated Project Management Unit and the Single Desk Portal 2.0. This ensures on-time completion.
Andhra Pradesh: India’s emerging industrial powerhouse
Officials highlighted that these projects would spur ancillary industries, enhance technical training, and cement Andhra Pradesh’s leadership in precision manufacturing.
With Raymond joining Google’s $15 billion AI Data Hub in Visakhapatnam, the State continues to attract global investors across high-technology sectors. Together, these ventures underscore Andhra Pradesh’s evolution into India’s most dynamic destination for aerospace, AI, and advanced manufacturing.
