Disturbing Incident Reported in Gadwal District
A shocking case of sexual abuse has come to light in Gadwal district of Telangana, where a father allegedly sexually assaulted his 16-year-old daughter multiple times. The incident occurred in the Gadwal district headquarters and has triggered widespread outrage among locals.
According to police officials, the accused abused the minor over a period of time when other family members were not present at home. As a result of the repeated assaults, the girl became pregnant.
Family Background and Abuse Details
Police said the accused man had married twice and lived with both families under the same roof. The victim is the daughter of his second wife. Taking advantage of the situation, the man allegedly committed the crime repeatedly without the knowledge of others.
When the pregnancy came to light, the accused’s first wife allegedly helped him conceal the crime instead of reporting it.
Illegal Abortion to Suppress the Crime
Investigators revealed that the accused woman arranged an abortion for the minor in an attempt to prevent the matter from becoming public. This act further aggravated the offense and led to additional charges against her.
However, the truth surfaced when the victim shared her ordeal with a local woman. She, in turn, informed the girl’s mother, who immediately approached the police.
Police Action and Arrests
Based on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act. After a preliminary investigation, the police arrested both the father and his first wife for their roles in the crime.
