London Hindu Protest: Khalistani separatists block Hindu protesters in London

London Hindu Protest Blocked by Khalistanis Outside Embassy

Protest held over attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh

Tension erupted outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Saturday after Hindu groups staged a protest against the recent killings and mob attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh. Protesters gathered to demand safety, justice, and protection for minorities living in the neighbouring country.

The demonstration remained peaceful initially, with participants raising slogans condemning violence against Hindus and urging international attention to the issue.

Khalistani separatists disrupt protest

However, the situation escalated when Khalistani separatist groups arrived at the protest site. They allegedly blocked the road, waved Khalistani flags, and raised anti-India slogans, creating panic in the area.

As a result, tensions rose sharply as both groups shouted slogans at each other. The confrontation led to a charged atmosphere outside the diplomatic mission, drawing public attention and concern.

Police intervene to prevent violence

Soon after, London police intervened and increased security around the Bangladesh High Commission. Officers separated the groups and controlled the crowd to prevent any untoward incidents.

Authorities ensured that the protest did not turn violent and advised demonstrators to maintain calm. Traffic restrictions were briefly imposed in the area due to the gathering.

Hindu groups express shock and concern

Meanwhile, Hindu protesters expressed shock over the violence faced by minorities in Bangladesh. They also condemned the disruption caused by Khalistani extremists, stating that blocking a protest for minority rights was unacceptable.

Protest organizers said their intention was only to highlight human rights concerns. They urged global institutions and governments to take note of the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and ensure accountability.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing tensions during overseas protests related to South Asian political and religious issues.
