Tirumala will host the grand Rath Saptami celebrations on January 25. TTD Additional Executive Officer CH Venkaiah Chowdhury reviewed the arrangements on Thursday at the Padmavati Guest House.
Venkaiah Chowdhury said a huge rush of devotees is expected during the festival. Therefore, TTD has cancelled Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens from January 24 to January 26. The decision aims to ensure smooth crowd control and devotee safety.
He clearly stated that officials will not accept recommendation letters for VIP break darshans. Only protocol darshans will be allowed during this period. TTD has also cancelled several arjitha sevas. These include Kalyanotsavam, Oonjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva.
In addition, TTD has suspended privilege darshans for NRIs, parents with infants, senior citizens, and differently-abled devotees. The authorities took this step to manage the heavy footfall effectively.
Venkaiah Chowdhury recalled the successful conduct of Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam. He said strong coordination among departments made it possible. He urged all officials to show the same commitment during Rath Saptami.
TTD officials appealed to devotees to cooperate with the arrangements and plan their darshan accordingly during the festival days.
