Mother Kills Three-Year-Old Daughter in Tirupati …

Police investigation in Tirupati Postal Colony child murder case Tirupati mother kills daughter

A shocking crime has shaken Tirupati after a 19-year-old woman allegedly murdered her three-year-old daughter, claiming the child stood in the way of her relationship. The tragic incident, reported from the Postal Colony area, has sparked outrage and disbelief among residents.

According to police, Ashalatha had been living separately from her husband due to marital disputes. The couple had a three-year-old daughter named Durga. During this period, Ashalatha reportedly met a man named Reddy Kumar on Instagram. Their online interaction soon developed into an illicit relationship. Investigators say she believed her daughter would become an obstacle to her future with him.

Crime Planned to Avoid Suspicion

Police revealed that the accused mother allegedly killed the child and later sought help from her partner to dispose of the body. The child’s body was buried in an isolated location to avoid suspicion. Shockingly, Ashalatha then joined her mother, Nagaratnamma, in filing a missing persons complaint with the local police station.

Based on the complaint, Tirupati East Police Station registered a case and began an investigation. However, officers soon noticed inconsistencies in Ashalatha’s statements. During sustained questioning, she reportedly confessed to the crime, admitting she killed her daughter for the sake of her relationship.

Body Recovered, Investigation Continues

Following her confession, police visited the location identified by the accused and exhumed the child’s body. Authorities have arrested Ashalatha and are now probing the exact role of Reddy Kumar in the murder and disposal of the body.

The incident has triggered widespread anger in the community. Nagaratnamma, the grandmother of the deceased child, demanded strict punishment for those involved. Residents have also called for swift justice, describing the act as inhuman and deeply disturbing.

Police officials stated that further investigation is underway, and additional charges may be added based on evidence collected. The tragic case has once again raised concerns about crimes driven by personal relationships and the vulnerability of children within family conflicts.
