Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced in the Assembly that the Andhra Pradesh government will soon conduct a new DSC (District Selection Committee) exam to recruit teachers.
Government to Fill Teacher Vacancies
Lokesh said the teacher–student ratio is low in some areas, including Kurnool and a few parliamentary constituencies. He said the government has already started planning to fill these posts.
He assured members that officials will release the DSC notification soon. The goal is to improve staffing in government schools and ensure better learning for students.
More Seasonal Hostels in Rayalaseema
The Minister also said the government will increase seasonal hostels in Rayalaseema. These hostels help children from migrant and poor families continue their education without breaks.
Many families in drought-prone areas move for work. Seasonal hostels support children during this period and help them stay in school.
Salaries Under Samagra Shiksha
Lokesh spoke about teachers and data operators working under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. He said Andhra Pradesh pays higher salaries than many other states.
He clarified that the scheme runs with support from the Central Government. Any salary hike depends on decisions taken at the national level.
Focus on Strengthening Education
The government aims to improve school education across the state. It plans to recruit more teachers, correct the teacher–student ratio, and expand hostel facilities.
Officials will share more details about the DSC recruitment soon.
