Andhra Pradesh Minister P. Narayana conducted a surprise inspection in the Amaravati capital region and expressed strong displeasure over delays in key construction works. During his visit to Nelapadu, he reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects and warned contractors to speed up execution as per government targets. Narayana made it clear that the state will not tolerate negligence in works linked to the capital city. He even directed officials to remove two representatives of Shapoorji Pallonji Group from the site, citing unsatisfactory progress.
Minister Expresses Anger Over Slow Progress
While inspecting various government building projects in Nelapadu, Narayana questioned officials about missed deadlines. He said construction agencies must strictly follow timelines fixed by the government. If companies fail to meet targets, they should step aside and allow others to take responsibility, he added.
The minister instructed the management of the concerned firm to explain the delays directly to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He stressed that accountability will remain a top priority in Amaravati’s work.
Strict Warning to Construction Agencies
Narayana stated that the government expects visible progress in all capital projects. He warned that authorities will take firm action against agencies that ignore deadlines. According to him, Amaravati represents the state’s development vision, and every stakeholder must contribute responsibly.
He emphasised that contractors must align their work with clearly defined goals. The minister assured that the government will closely monitor construction quality and speed in the coming months.
