Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mega Project – Vishwambhara – has been officially postponed to Summer 2026. Mega fans received disappointing news about the much-anticipated socio-fantasy directed by Mallidi Vasishta after the actor himself released a special video, directly addressing widespread speculation about the project’s prolonged production.
The veteran actor explained that the second half of ‘Vishwambhara’ is heavily dependent on advanced VFX and graphics. To ensure the highest quality and a truly immersive experience for audiences, the team opted for an extended post-production schedule. “The delay is a conscious choice to deliver a visual spectacle that will delight viewers of all ages,” Chiranjeevi stated, emphasising that quality takes precedence over a rushed release.
Produced by UV Creations, the film features a stellar cast including Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath, and blends social themes with fantasy elements. Chiranjeevi reassured fans that the movie will captivate both children and adults, describing it as a magical story reminiscent of Chandamama folklore. The team already wrapped up shooting, including a special dance sequence featuring Mouni Roy, and is fully focused on post-production.
A teaser for ‘Vishwambhara’ dropped on August 21, offering a glimpse into the film’s scale and ambition. With expectations running high, fans will have to wait until Summer 2026 to experience Chiranjeevi’s latest fantasy adventure on the silver screen.
