Global football icon Lionel Messi has wrapped up his much-talked-about tour of India, which included visits to Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. As part of the tour, the Argentine legend also visited Vantara, the wildlife conservation centre founded by Reliance Industries Director Anant Ambani. During this visit, Anant Ambani presented Messi with an ultra-luxury and rare watch, drawing widespread attention.
Richard Mille Watch Worth Rs 10.9 Crore
Anant Ambani gifted Messi a Richard Mille RM 003-V2 GMT Tourbillon Asia Edition, valued at approximately Rs 10.9 crore. This exclusive timepiece is among the rarest in the world, with only 12 units ever produced globally.
Observers noticed that Messi was not wearing a watch when he arrived at Vantara. However, on his departure, he was seen sporting the luxury watch, sparking curiosity and excitement among fans and watch enthusiasts alike.
High-End Features and Cutting-Edge Technology
According to reports, the Richard Mille RM 003-V2 boasts exceptional craftsmanship and advanced technology. The watch features a manual-winding tourbillon movement, a dual time-zone (GMT) indicator, along with power-reserve and torque indicators.
Its case is made from Carbon TPT, a high-performance material widely used in aerospace engineering and Formula 1 racing. The tourbillon mechanism helps counter the effects of gravity, ensuring exceptional timekeeping accuracy.
A Watch Owned by Global Elites
Only a handful of prominent personalities own this rare watch. The elite list includes Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher, and former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt. With this gift, Lionel Messi now joins this exclusive club, adding another remarkable highlight to his India visit.
Messi’s Vantara tour and the luxury gift have since gone viral, symbolising the blend of sports, conservation, and luxury on a global stage.
