Brutal crime shocks Jagtial district
A shocking murder case involving blackmail, extramarital affairs, and revenge has created panic in Jagtial district, Telangana. Two sisters allegedly killed a young man after he blackmailed them using obscene videos, police said.
The incident took place on Friday midnight, and the victim later died while undergoing treatment.
Victim identified as medical representative
The deceased has been identified as Burra Mahender (32), a resident of Turkalamaddikunta village in Peddapalli district. He worked as a medical representative in Hyderabad.
According to police, Mahender became acquainted with a young woman working in the software sector. Over time, their friendship turned into an extramarital affair. Later, Mahender also developed a relationship with her elder sister, which further complicated matters.

Engagement broken after blackmail attempt
Recently, the younger woman got engaged. However, Mahender allegedly became jealous. As a result, he reportedly shared obscene videos with the groom’s family, leading to the cancellation of the engagement.
Angered by his actions and repeated blackmail threats, the sisters decided to eliminate him, investigators said.
Chilli powder attack and fatal assault
As per their plan, the sisters summoned Mahender on Friday night. Around 10 pm, an argument broke out. During the confrontation, they threw chilli powder into his eyes.
Before Mahender could react, the sisters and their relatives attacked him with sticks, causing severe injuries.
Victim dies during treatment, police probe on
Local residents found Mahender lying unconscious in a pool of blood. They rushed him to Jagityala Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance. However, doctors declared him dead early Saturday morning.
Police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family. An investigation is currently underway, and further arrests are expected.
