Bhimadolu: Legendary leader and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) worked tirelessly for the development of the poor, backward, and weaker sections, said AP APCAB Chairman Ganni Veeranjaneyulu.
On the occasion of NTR’s death anniversary, several programmes were organised in Vadlapatla and Bhimadolu villages on Sunday. Leaders offered floral tributes at NTR statues and paid their respects.
Speaking on the occasion, Veeranjaneyulu said NTR entered politics with the belief that society is the temple and people are gods. He added that NTR changed the course of governance by bringing administration closer to the common man. As a result, democracy became more accessible to ordinary citizens.
NTR’s Legacy Still Inspires
He recalled that NTR introduced landmark welfare schemes aimed at reducing poverty. Moreover, he highlighted NTR’s commitment to women’s dignity and rural development. These initiatives, he said, continue to guide present-day governance.
Veeranjaneyulu also urged the youth to draw inspiration from NTR’s ideals. He called on them to actively participate in social development. Local public representatives, party leaders, and activists attended the programme.
