A Tirupati-based police officer marked Republic Day with a message that stood out for its creativity and purpose. West Head Constable Suresh Reddy, currently serving in Tirupati, chose an unconventional path to celebrate the occasion. Instead of a routine observance, he launched a unique initiative aimed at educating future generations about constitutional values.
Driven by a desire to spread awareness, Suresh Reddy unveiled a national flag made entirely from unused old coins. He used discarded paise coins to design the Tricolour, turning forgotten currency into a powerful symbol of unity and patriotism. The innovative effort immediately drew attention from the public and fellow officers.

A Flag Built with Purpose and Precision
The handmade national flag measured 12 feet in length and 42 feet in width, making it both visually striking and meaningful. Each coin found a place in the design, reflecting patience, dedication, and respect for national symbols. According to Suresh Reddy, the project aimed to remind citizens that even small contributions can carry great national value.
He stressed that the Constitution should live not only in books but also in everyday actions. Through this symbolic display, he encouraged people, especially the youth, to understand democratic values and civic responsibility.

Message Beyond Republic Day
The initiative sparked conversations across Tirupati, with many praising the head constable’s vision. His effort proved that inspiration can come from simple ideas when backed by strong intent. During a face-to-face interaction with Special Correspondent Selvam, Suresh Reddy reiterated his belief that patriotism grows stronger when citizens actively engage with constitutional ideals.
By blending creativity with purpose, the Tirupati head constable transformed Republic Day into a lasting lesson on national pride and responsibility.
