Amaravati is witnessing the construction of a major memorial to honour Potti Sriramulu, the leader who sacrificed his life for the Telugu people. The project aims to preserve his legacy and inspire future generations. 58-Foot Bronze Statue Takes Shape
As part of the project, officials are building a 58-foot bronze statue of Potti Sriramulu. Alongside the statue, a large memorial park is also coming up. Together, these structures will reflect the pride, struggle, and self-respect of the Telugu community.
Project Planned in Two Phases
Importantly, the trust overseeing the project plans to complete it in two phases. The first phase is moving at a fast pace. Organisers want to finish this stage and install the statue by Potti Sriramulu’s 125th birth anniversary. Therefore, construction work is progressing steadily.
