The controversial case of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier at the centre of a global sex trafficking scandal, has taken a new turn. Epstein died in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Centre on August 10, 2019, reportedly by suicide. However, recently released U.S. Department of Justice files have raised several questions surrounding his death.
Pre-Dated Death Certificate Raises Eyebrows
One of the most shocking revelations from the new files is that Epstein’s death certificate appears to have been prepared a day before his actual death. While he officially died on August 10, records indicate that the certificate was dated August 9. This discrepancy has sparked intense debate among investigators and conspiracy theorists alike.
Confusing CCTV Footage
The DOJ files also reveal unusual CCTV footage. On the night of August 9 at 10:30 PM, a person dressed in an orange jumpsuit was captured walking toward Epstein’s cell. Authorities claim the individual is a correctional officer, but some analysts suggest the possibility that it could have been Epstein himself, creating further speculation about the events leading to his death.
Hospital Records and Photographs Add to Doubts
Additional evidence includes photographs taken 16 minutes after Epstein was reportedly found unresponsive. These images show medical personnel attempting to revive him. Moreover, hospital records misspelt his first name as “Jeffery,” fueling public suspicion and raising questions about procedural accuracy.
Continuing Public Speculation
Since Epstein’s death, scepticism has surrounded the official account of suicide. The new files have intensified doubts, giving rise to renewed discussions about potential foul play and systemic failures in the correctional facility.
These revelations ensure that Epstein’s death remains one of the most controversial and closely scrutinised events in recent criminal history.
