Amaravat: Andhra Pradesh BJP President P.V.N. Madhav called the 2026-27 state budget a forward-looking plan that promotes development, welfare, and wealth creation. He said the budget provides a clear roadmap for growth. He also urged party leaders to explain the budget’s benefits to the public effectively.

In an audio conference coordinated by BJP State Chief Representative Valluru Jayaprakash Narayana, Madhav spoke to party officials and media panellists. He stressed the need to combine central and state budgets to showcase government initiatives.

Key Highlights of the Budget

1. Record Spending and Growth
The budget proposes a massive ₹3,32,000 crore expenditure with an 11.25% growth target. In addition, the revenue deficit has been limited to 1.86%, reflecting strong fiscal discipline.

2. Double-Engine Development
Madhav credited the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for attracting large-scale investments. Moreover, he stated that this “double engine” strategy strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s foundation. It also supports the goal of a developed India.

3. Industrial Growth and Investments
The budget focuses on $15 billion (₹1,35,000 crore) in major investments, including partnerships with global firms like Google. Furthermore, initiatives like Semiconductors Mission 2.0 and the Rare Earth Corridor will receive strong support. These projects aim to boost industrialisation.

4. Rayalaseema Development
The government plans a ₹30,000 crore project to transform Rayalaseema into a Global Horticulture Hub. The project includes modern infrastructure, agriculture, and allied industries.

5. AP Wealth Fund
The budget introduces a special wealth fund. This fund will serve as a long-term development and seed corpus, enabling sustained investment in key sectors.

6. Welfare Programs
The budget continues funding popular welfare schemes such as NTR Bharosa, Annapurna Canteens, and free electricity for farmers. It also focuses on education, health, and infrastructure, ensuring holistic development for citizens.

Communicating the Budget to Citizens

Madhav emphasised that the budget is more than numbers. It reflects a vision for transforming Andhra Pradesh’s future. He urged officials to use social media and mainstream platforms to highlight the government’s achievements. Furthermore, he said citizens should understand how the budget impacts their daily lives.

Valluru Jayaprakash Narayana, BJP State Chief Representative, coordinated the conference. He encouraged officials to engage actively with the public. This effort ensures the progressive budget message reaches all corners of the state.
