The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has completed full-scale preparations for the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanams, scheduled from December 30 to January 8, according to TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal. He clarified that, as per Vedic and Puranic references, all ten days hold equal spiritual significance, and devotees will receive the same blessings on any day.
Speaking exclusively to News Today on Friday, the EO urged devotees not to believe that only specific days are more auspicious.
Arrangements for 7.7 Lakh Devotees
For the first time, TTD has introduced the e-DIP token system for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan. In the initial three days alone, authorities issued 1.89 lakh tokens across the country through a transparent process.
Devotees who arrive at Tirumala strictly as per their allotted time will get darshan within two hours. However, those who arrive earlier will have to wait until their assigned slot.
Three Entry Routes Prepared
TTD has set up three separate entry routes for smooth crowd management. Devotees arriving on time will enter through a route close to the queue lines. Meanwhile, early arrivals will use two alternate routes and will receive darshan only during their allocated time.
On December 29, a limited number of tickets will be issued, and darshan for those devotees will conclude on the same day, before Ekadashi.
Real-Time Crowd Updates Every Two Hours
From January 2 to January 8, TTD will issue 15,000 Special Entry Darshan tickets and 1,500 Srivani tickets daily. In addition, arrangements are in place for 3.6 lakh Sarva Darshan devotees.
Importantly, the AI-integrated Command Control Centre will release crowd status updates every two hours. This will help devotees plan their visit during low-crowd periods, especially benefiting senior citizens and families with children.
No VIP or Break Darshans
TTD will provide darshan to 7.7 lakh devotees over ten days through online and offline modes. In comparison, around 6.6 lakh devotees visited during the same period in previous years.
Out of 182 darshan hours, TTD has reserved 164 hours exclusively for common devotees. Authorities have completely cancelled privilege and break darshans during this period. Only dignitaries arriving directly will receive darshan.
Food, Accommodation, and Security Arrangements
At the Matru Sri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Centre, free meals will be served continuously from 8 am to 12 midnight. Devotees will receive 16 varieties of food items and beverages.
TTD has also strengthened security by deploying 2,400 police personnel and 1,100 vigilance staff. With the support of nearly six lakh Srivari Sevaks, officials aim to ensure a hassle-free darshan experience.
