A road accident involving Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s convoy caused concern in Mumbai on Monday night, but the actor and his wife Twinkle Khanna escaped without injuries. The incident occurred near Mukteshwar Road in the Juhu area while the couple was returning home after an overseas trip. Though the situation created panic on the busy road, timely response prevented further damage.
According to sources, a fast-moving Mercedes car hit an auto-rickshaw from behind. The impact pushed the auto out of control, sending it across the road. It then struck Akshay Kumar’s escort vehicle, which overturned due to the force of the collision. The auto-rickshaw suffered heavy damage at the spot.
The auto driver and one passenger sustained injuries in the accident. Locals alerted emergency services, and both injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable. Meanwhile, the SUV in which Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna were travelling suffered only minor damage.
Police reached the scene soon after the accident and cleared traffic. They registered a case and began investigating the cause of the crash. A video showing the accident has surfaced online and is circulating widely on social media, drawing public attention.
