The Andhra Pradesh government has now called for bids for Phase II of the Amaravati master plan, signalling a fresh push for planned growth in the capital region. After launching the second phase of the land pooling scheme, the government moved quickly to shape the next stage of development.
As part of this phase, authorities plan to pool nearly 16,000 acres across the capital area. Through this effort, the new master plan will guide land use and future expansion. More importantly, officials aim to create a balanced urban layout with a long-term vision.
The plan clearly focuses on residential, commercial, and green zones. At the same time, it maps road networks, public utilities, and civic infrastructure. As a result, Amaravati is expected to grow in an organised and investor-friendly manner.
In addition, the blueprint includes major projects such as a global sports arena and an international airport. These projects, in turn, are expected to improve connectivity and generate economic activity across the region.
Finally, the government has fixed February 6, 2026, as the deadline for bid submissions. Therefore, firms with strong experience in large-scale urban planning have been encouraged to participate.
