A major fire broke out at a coaching centre near Maitrivanam in Ameerpet, triggering panic in the busy commercial area. The incident occurred on the fourth floor of the Neelagiri Block building, where flames spread rapidly, and thick smoke engulfed the premises.
Police and fire officials rushed to the spot soon after receiving information. Firefighters began rescue operations immediately and worked to control the flames. Authorities focused on evacuating students who were trapped inside the institute.
Rescue teams attempted to bring students down safely through the balcony using large ladders. They could not use the regular entry and exit points due to heavy smoke and fire inside the building. As a precaution, officials installed a safety net below to prevent injuries in case of accidental falls.
The fire caused panic across the Maitrivanam area. Students, employees, and residents gathered near the building and assisted in rescue efforts. Many watched anxiously as firefighters carried out the operation.
The presence of commercial establishments on the lower floors made the situation more challenging. Large hoardings fixed around the building also obstructed access and slowed down rescue work.
Fire officials continued efforts to fully douse the flames and clear the smoke. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire. Further details about injuries or damage are awaited as rescue operations continue.
