Andhra University has improved its national ranking, rising to 41st from 76th in 2023, and Minister Nara Lokesh announced plans to push it into India’s top 10. He highlighted that the university was ranked 29th in 2019 and dropped over the years. According to the minister, key initiatives such as upgrading research facilities, recruiting top faculty, and modernizing curriculum contributed to the recent improvement. He emphasised that these steps create a culture of academic excellence and prepare students for global challenges.
Future Plans
Lokesh outlined the next phase, which includes boosting research output, fostering international collaborations, and introducing student-centric programs. “Every faculty member and student will contribute to taking Andhra University into the top 10,” he added.
