Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu led a strong anti-drug walkathon in Vijayawada to spread awareness among the youth. The event took place at Indira Gandhi Stadium and drew wide public attention. The Eagle Team organised the programme with support from the Ramesh Hospital management. The initiative aimed to send a clear message against drug abuse and its growing threat to society.

Senior IPS officer A.K. Ravikrishna from the Eagle Team actively participated in the rally. Ramesh Hospital Chairman Rammohan and Manager Ramesh Babu also joined the walkathon. The event began at Indira Gandhi Stadium and continued up to Benz Circle. Many students, volunteers, and citizens took part with enthusiasm.

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu explained the severe dangers of drug addiction. He said drug use destroys families and careers. Moreover, he warned that encouraging drugs is equal to supporting terrorism. He urged parents and communities to stay alert and protect the younger generation.

The Commissioner also appealed to the public to report drug-related activities immediately. He advised people to call the emergency number 1972 if they notice anyone addicted to drugs nearby. Through this walkathon, officials reinforced the message that collective responsibility can help make Vijayawada drug-free.
