The Andhra Pradesh government is set to bring good news to unemployed youth. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is preparing to announce DSC 2026 to fill teacher posts across the state. The coalition government had promised to conduct DSC every year. Now, it has started the process to release a fresh notification during Ugadi. The Education Department plans to issue it as a festive gift.
Around 3,600 Teacher Posts Identified
Officials have identified nearly 3,600 vacant posts in Andhra Pradesh. These include PGT and TGT jobs in model schools. In addition, BC, SC, and ST welfare residential schools need teachers. Society-run schools also face staff shortages. Because of these gaps, the government has decided to speed up recruitment. Therefore, candidates can expect the notification soon.
No Change in Syllabus This Time
Sources say the government will continue with last year’s syllabus. So, there will be no major changes in exam topics. As a result, candidates can prepare using old study material. This move reduces stress and saves time. Moreover, it gives clarity to aspirants who already started their preparation.
Age Limit and Weightage Pattern
The government may follow the same age rules as before. General category candidates could get eligibility up to 44 years. Reserved category candidates may receive relaxation up to 49 years. Furthermore, TET marks will likely carry 20 per cent weightage. The remaining 80 per cent marks will depend on the DSC written test. Officials plan to conduct the exam in computer-based mode.
Roster Process Underway
At present, officials are preparing district-wise roster points as per reservation rules. Once they complete this step, they will send the file to the Finance Department for approval. After the notification is released, candidates may get only 45 to 60 days to prepare. Hence, experts advise aspirants to start studying now instead of waiting.
With Ugadi approaching, hopes are rising among job seekers. If the government releases the notification as planned, DSC 2026 will open thousands of teaching opportunities and fulfil its promise of regular recruitment.
