The Andhra Pradesh High Court took up an urgent lunch motion petition filed by Jogi Rohith, son of YSRCP leader and former minister Jogi Ramesh, over the recent attack on their residence. The court treated the matter as serious and directed the state government to submit a detailed report on the incident.
Petition Highlights Alleged Political Vendetta
In his petition, Jogi Rohith alleged that the attack stemmed from political hostility against his father. He stated that miscreants vandalised the house and attempted to set it on fire. Moreover, he told the court that the incident created a serious threat to life.
According to the petition, the attack went beyond property damage and endangered the safety of family members. Therefore, Rohith urged the court to order strict action against those responsible.
High Court Orders Immediate Government Response
Taking note of the urgency, the High Court admitted the lunch motion petition for hearing. It then directed the state government to place complete details of the incident on record. Additionally, the court stressed the need for swift steps to maintain law and order.
Focus on Law and Order Protection
The High Court reminded authorities of their responsibility to protect public safety. It also indicated that any failure to act firmly would be viewed seriously. The case has drawn attention due to the political background involved and the gravity of the allegations.
Further proceedings will depend on the government’s response and the findings placed before the court.
