Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kollu Ravindra said the state will showcase its rich tourism potential to the world through well-planned festivals and destination-driven initiatives. He made these remarks while inaugurating the Anakapalli Utsav at Kondakarla Ava, along with AP Assembly Speaker Chinthakayala Ayyannapatrudu.
Tourism Push Begins at Kondakarla Ava
Soon after the inauguration, the minister inspected key tourist locations around Kondakarla Ava. He also took part in a boat ride to experience the region’s natural beauty firsthand. Through this visit, the government aims to highlight eco-tourism and water-based attractions as major draws for visitors.
At the same time, officials opened tourism centres designed to create awareness among children. These centres focus on Etikoppaka toy-making and traditional painting, helping young learners connect with local art forms. As a result, the initiative blends tourism promotion with cultural preservation.
Festivals to Drive Global Attention
Minister Kollu Ravindra said festivals in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Araku will play a key role in attracting national and international tourists. He added that these events will project Andhra Pradesh as a vibrant travel destination with a strong cultural identity. Moreover, the government plans to use such platforms to boost local livelihoods and regional visibility.
Development with Public Happiness as Priority
Speaking further, the minister stated that the coalition government focuses not only on development but also on public happiness. He stressed that tourism growth creates employment while enhancing community pride. Therefore, the government intends to expand tourism infrastructure without harming local ecosystems.
