Amaravati: Railway Koduru Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar is facing serious legal trouble after a woman employee filed a complaint accusing him of sustained harassment and coercion. Based on the complaint, police have initiated legal procedures and begun an investigation into the matter.
According to the complaint, the woman came into contact with the MLA through Facebook. What began as regular communication later developed into a personal relationship, which the complainant stated turned abusive over time.
Prolonged Exploitation and Threats Mentioned in Complaint
The woman stated that she was subjected to repeated physical and mental exploitation for nearly one and a half years. She told authorities that the MLA assured her of marriage and later used fear to maintain control.
The complaint mentions frequent phone calls demanding compliance. It also states that threats were issued when she resisted. The woman further informed police that her minor son was used as a means of pressure.
Pressure to Separate From Husband
In her statement, the complainant said she was forced to consider divorce from her husband. She claimed the MLA warned her using his political position and influence.
The complaint also noted that the MLA contacted her husband, who works in the software sector, and issued warnings. Police are verifying call records and digital evidence related to these claims.
Case Under Investigation
Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been formally taken on record. They stated that the matter is under investigation and that all aspects mentioned by the complainant are being examined.
Authorities clarified that action will be taken strictly according to the law after verifying evidence. No official response has been issued so far by the MLA.
