India’s military preparedness and joint operational strength came into sharp focus after Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi stated that the armed forces stood fully ready to launch ground attacks during Operation Sindoor if the situation had demanded it. He said the ongoing operation clearly reflects strong coordination among the Army, Navy, and Air Force. This coordination, he added, highlights India’s ability to respond firmly to security threats.

Speaking about the mission, the Army Chief said the forces executed Operation Sindoor with high precision and caution. The operation lasted nearly 88 hours. During this period, Indian forces carried out focused strikes on terror infrastructure. General Dwivedi confirmed that the forces destroyed several terrorist camps and eliminated close to 100 terrorists. He also said the Army moved large numbers of troops to border areas as part of strategic readiness.

The Army Chief said India remained on high alert throughout the operation. He stated that even a small provocation from Pakistan would have led to immediate ground action. According to him, this readiness showed India’s clear intent to protect its sovereignty. Operation Sindoor, he noted, sent a strong message about India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism.

Strong Border Preparedness and Regional Security

General Upendra Dwivedi also spoke about security along other sensitive borders. He said the situation along the northeastern frontier remains stable. However, he stressed that the forces must stay alert at all times. On the China border, he said Indian troop deployments remain strong and well-prepared to face any challenge.

Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, the Army Chief said the region continues to remain sensitive. However, he added that security forces have the situation under control through sustained operations and timely intelligence inputs. He assured that the armed forces can respond quickly to any future threat.

Clear Warning to Adversaries

Without naming Pakistan, General Dwivedi issued a clear warning to hostile forces. He said India stands fully prepared to respond to any unwanted incident. The success of Operation Sindoor, he added, proves India’s military strength, discipline, and effective coordination among the three services.

Overall, the Army Chief’s remarks highlight India’s strong commitment to national security. Operation Sindoor, according to military leadership, has strengthened confidence in India’s defence capability and sent a firm signal to adversaries across the borders.
