Atreyapuram in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district is witnessing vibrant Sankranti celebrations. Large crowds gathered as the festive events entered their second day. The state government organized the celebrations under the prestigious Sir Arthur Cotton Godavari Trophy.
On the first day, swimming competitions, rangoli contests, and a food festival attracted visitors. These events received a strong response from locals and tourists. As a result, the festival atmosphere spread across the town.
Meanwhile, dragon boat races began on the second day of the celebrations. MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao and senior officials formally inaugurated the races. Around 250 participants from different states arrived to compete in the event.
Moreover, people from surrounding villages reached Atreyapuram in large numbers. The heavy turnout created a festive and energetic atmosphere throughout the region. With traditional sports and cultural events, Atreyapuram has emerged as a key Sankranti attraction in Konaseema.
