Telugu film producer Bandla Ganesh recently completed a 23-day pilgrimage from Shadnagar to Tirumala and personally met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, to present his offerings to Lord Venkateswara.
Bandla Ganesh began his sacred walk on January 19 under the banner of “Sankalpa Yatra,” vowing to undertake the journey after CM Chandrababu’s release from jail following politically motivated cases in 2023 under the YSRCP government. Covering approximately 535 kilometres on foot, Ganesh reached Tirumala on February 10, where he offered his prayers and fulfilled his pledge.
On Thursday, Ganesh visited the Chief Minister’s chamber at the Assembly in Amaravati. He presented the Tirumala prasadam to Chandrababu Naidu, who warmly received him, embracing him and engaging in a heartfelt conversation. Ganesh shared the experiences and challenges of his pilgrimage, expressing gratitude for the party workers who accompanied him and encouraged him throughout the journey.
Earlier the same day, Bandla Ganesh visited Minister Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli. He recounted the pilgrimage route and offered Lord Venkateswara’s prasadam to the minister. Speaking about his trek, Ganesh said, “The encouragement of my companions and supporters along the route gave me strength to complete the pilgrimage with devotion and enthusiasm.”
Bandla Ganesh’s pilgrimage not only marked the fulfilment of a personal vow but also symbolised his gratitude and reverence for the leadership of CM Chandrababu and the spiritual journey to Tirumala. His meetings with both the Chief Minister and the minister were covered widely across local media, highlighting the blend of faith, politics, and popular culture.
