A horrific crime has shocked Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh. A man allegedly murdered his wife and two minor daughters after an argument over wearing a burqa. The incident has triggered widespread outrage and concern over domestic violence.
The accused, Farooq, lives in Ghari Daulat village. He often argued with his wife, Tahira (35), about her clothing. Police said he objected whenever she went outside or visited her parental home without a burqa.
Farooq believed that Tahira’s actions damaged his honour. His anger grew after he saw her outside without a burqa. Investigators said this incident pushed him into committing the brutal murders.
Denied Aadhaar Card Due to Extreme Control
Police uncovered another disturbing detail during the probe. Farooq did not allow Tahira to obtain an Aadhaar card. He feared that her photograph would appear in government records and be seen by others.
Officials said the accused wanted no one except himself to see his wife’s face. This mindset reflected his extreme control and obsession. Police have arrested Farooq and continue their investigation.
The crime has sent shockwaves across the region. Residents have demanded strict punishment. The case has also renewed calls to address domestic violence and protect women and children.
