Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said Andhra Pradesh now attracts 25 percent of all investments coming into India. He made these remarks while addressing a Telugu Diaspora meeting in Zurich, Switzerland. Chandrababu called on Telugu people worldwide to work together to make the community the number one global force by 2047.
Speaking to a packed gathering, the Chief Minister recalled his long association with Zurich. He said he first visited the city in 1995. At that time, only a few Telugu families lived there. Today, he said, the presence of Telugu people across Europe has grown significantly. Countries such as Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, and Finland now host thousands of Telugu professionals.
Chandrababu highlighted the strength of the global Telugu network. He noted that more than two lakh members are part of NRT groups in Europe alone. Across the world, over 400 Telugu associations actively promote language, culture, and traditions. Despite living abroad, Telugu families continue to preserve their cultural identity, he added.
The Chief Minister said he focused on information technology as early as 1995. Many people questioned his vision at the time. However, he said that promoting IT transformed Telugu youth into global professionals. Today, Telugu people work in 195 countries, which reflects that early policy decision.
Chandrababu stressed that India’s biggest strength is its young population. He predicted that India would become the third-largest economy by 2028. He also claimed that Telugu people enjoy one of the highest per capita incomes among Indian communities worldwide.
Talking about Andhra Pradesh, he said the state achieved rapid progress in a short time. Over the past 18 months, the government introduced 25 new policies. These reforms helped position Andhra Pradesh as a strong investment destination. As a result, a quarter of India’s incoming investments now flow into the state.
Chandrababu urged the Telugu diaspora to partner with Andhra Pradesh’s growth journey. He said global collaboration, innovation, and unity would help Telugu people lead the world by 2047.
