Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the renowned Kanha Shanti Vanam at Chegur in Rangareddy district and held detailed discussions with Sri Ramachandra Mission and Heartfulness Foundation President Kamlesh D. Patel (Daji).
The Chief Minister received a warm welcome at the meditation centre. During a special meeting, Naidu and Daji discussed plans to set up a Heartfulness Foundation office in Andhra Pradesh, marking a key step toward expanding Heartfulness activities in the state.
Daji briefed the Chief Minister on the wide range of initiatives undertaken at Kanha Shanti Vanam, including nature conservation, environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, meditation, and yoga training. Naidu also enquired about the development and welfare programmes being implemented at the centre.
Developed by the Sri Ramachandra Mission, Kanha Shanti Vanam spreads across 1,400 acres near Shamshabad Airport. It holds recognition as the world’s largest meditation centre. The campus also functions as a major biodiversity hub, hosting more than eight lakh plant species.
In addition, the centre runs skill development programmes for youth under the ‘Kausalam’ initiative, offered through the Heartfulness Institute of Leadership. The visit highlighted growing cooperation between the Andhra Pradesh government and the Heartfulness movement in areas of wellness, sustainability and human development.
