Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is spending a busy day in Delhi, meeting top central ministers to discuss crucial projects for the state. As part of his schedule, he is set to meet five central ministers today, including CR Patil, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Shivraj Singh, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
In the morning, Naidu will meet CR Patil, Union Minister for Jal Shakti, to discuss Polavaram project funds and central assistance for Phase 2. He will also talk about the Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar Link Project and request support for river interlinking initiatives.
Later, the Chief Minister will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, followed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman around noon. During the discussion, Naidu plans to urge her to expedite the release of funds allocated to Andhra Pradesh in the central budget.
Naidu will also meet Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh and, by 4 PM, IT and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss various technological and infrastructure-related projects. He aims to address issues related to Amaravati’s construction loans, grants from the central government, and other development initiatives.
The Chief Minister emphasised resolving the Vamsadhara water dispute and urged the immediate establishment of a tribunal for Godavari water issues. He also raised concerns about raising the height of the Almatti Dam and requested financial assistance of ₹32,000 crore for the Polavaram Phase II project.
In addition, Naidu highlighted the upcoming visit of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to Andhra Pradesh on February 16 and discussed relevant technological and other matters with central authorities.
With these high-level discussions, the Andhra Pradesh government aims to accelerate infrastructure projects and ensure smooth coordination between the state and the central government.
