Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has won the prestigious ‘Business Reformer of the Year’ award from The Economic Times, marking a major recognition of reform-driven governance in Andhra Pradesh.
The award recognises the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership and strong focus on business-friendly policies. Moreover, his government has introduced wide-ranging industrial reforms that boosted investor confidence. As a result, Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a preferred destination for both domestic and global investments.
Under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, the state recorded steady economic growth. In addition, industrial expansion created new employment opportunities across sectors. These efforts strengthened Andhra Pradesh’s development momentum.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the award at a special ceremony scheduled for March.
Selection by Eminent Jury
A high-level jury selected the awardee after a detailed evaluation. The panel included Bharti Group Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal, Kotak Mahindra Bank Founder Uday Kotak, and Narayana Health Founder Dr. Devi Shetty. It also featured Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata. Meanwhile, Deloitte acted as the knowledge and advisory partner.
Earlier recipients of the award include Ashwini Vaishnaw (2024), S. Jaishankar (2023), Nirmala Sitharaman (2021), Devendra Fadnavis (2019), Arun Jaitley (2017), and Piyush Goyal (2015).

Earlier, IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh created buzz with a suspense post on social media. Later, he confirmed the honour through X (formerly Twitter). He expressed happiness and pride over the recognition.
According to Lokesh, the award reflects Chandrababu Naidu’s consistent focus on economic reforms. Furthermore, it highlights the government’s commitment to long-term industrial growth and sustainable development.

Reacting to the announcement, Lokesh called the award a proud moment for Andhra Pradesh. He added that very few leaders have guided India’s reform journey with such clarity and consistency.
