Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday hailed former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a leader who lives forever in the hearts of the people. He said Vajpayee played a key role in shaping India’s progress after economic reforms and set a strong example of good governance.
Speaking at the Suparipalana Sabha held on Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, Chandrababu Naidu, along with Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, unveiled Vajpayee’s statue at Venkatapalem in Amaravati. The Chief Minister praised Vajpayee’s inclusive leadership and said his policies transformed sectors like telecommunications, which later became the backbone of the knowledge economy.
Chandrababu Naidu also recalled the close association between N.T. Rama Rao and Vajpayee, noting their shared vision for the nation. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuing Vajpayee’s legacy of nation-building.
