In a major boost to industrial development in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu approved 26 projects worth ₹1,01,899 crore investments during the 12th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting on Friday. The investments are projected to create over 85,570 jobs across the State, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to cluster-based and inclusive industrial growth.
The Chief Minister directed officials to fast-track land allotment, power connectivity, and permissions to ensure quick grounding of approved projects. He stressed that every investor proposal must translate into on-ground execution without bureaucratic delays.
Since the NDA government assumed office 16 months ago, the SIPB has met 12 times, clearing projects worth ₹8,08,899 crore — expected to generate over 7 lakh jobs.
Naidu reiterated the government’s focus on proactive and accountable governance, instructing officials to revoke approvals for projects showing no progress in construction.
Focus on electronics, industrial clusters, and megacities
Highlighting the State’s potential in the electronics sector, Naidu proposed the creation of a dedicated Electronics Park and the promotion of semiconductor, chip, and drone industries. He also unveiled plans to develop 15 industrial zones under a cluster-based policy and to expand the State’s land bank by encouraging private participation.
To integrate urban growth with industrial expansion, Naidu announced the preparation of integrated master plans for three megacities — Visakhapatnam (from Anakapalli to Vizianagaram), Tirupati, and Amaravati. He emphasised inter-departmental coordination between Tourism, IT, Industries, and Municipal Departments to transform these cities into hubs for tourism, technology, and manufacturing.
Global Investments and CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam
With the upcoming Google Data Centre in Visakhapatnam, Naidu said the Port City is fast emerging as a global investment destination. He directed officials to ensure land readiness for incoming investors.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of beach tourism and the construction of branded hotels to attract global visitors. He announced the creation of three economic corridors, each to be monitored by senior IAS officers.
Naidu reviewed preparations for the CII Partnership Summit scheduled in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15, instructing officials to organise it on a grand scale and to expedite foundation-laying ceremonies for SIPB-approved projects.
He said during his recent foreign visits, several global companies expressed keen interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh and will participate in the summit.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Nara Lokesh, K. Atchannaidu, T.G. Bharat, P. Narayana, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Anagani Satya Prasad, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, V. Subhash, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, and senior officials.
