Hyderabad’s renowned Chilkur Balaji Temple head priest Rangarajan has strongly praised Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu. After watching the film, he shared his views with the media outside the theatre and urged audiences to watch it without hesitation.
Rangarajan said the film presents the concept of dharma in a powerful and meaningful way. According to him, Akhanda 2 combines both logic and magic, making it a film that appeals to all sections of society.
“I watched Akhanda 2 today and stayed glued to my seat throughout the film,” Rangarajan said. He explained that many people question the existence of God when injustice prevails. However, he noted that Indian philosophy revolves around dharma, artha, kama, and moksha, known as the four goals of life.
He added that dharma plays a central role in Indian culture. “Whenever dharma faces danger, God appears in some form to protect it. Akhanda 2 beautifully portrays this idea,” he said.
Recalling his father’s teachings, Rangarajan said temples belong to devotees. He mentioned that Balakrishna’s dialogues reminded him of those words and praised the dialogue writer for delivering impactful lines.
Rangarajan also spoke about the commercial approach to religion in modern times. He said the film explores why God intervenes even in such an era. Dismissing superficial reviews, he urged viewers not to depend on others’ opinions. “Watch the film yourself and decide,” he said.
“I personally watched this movie. Every frame carries logic and magic. This is not just entertainment; it strengthens our belief in dharma,” Rangarajan stated. He concluded by appealing to families, children, and elders alike to watch Akhanda 2, calling it a film that inspires moral and spiritual reflection.
