Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday reaffirmed that maintaining law and order remains the NDA government’s top priority, stating that there will be no compromise in protecting public safety across the state.
The Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to 5,757 newly recruited police constables at the APSP Sixth Battalion in Mangalagiri, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita, and Director General of Police Harishkumar Gupta.
Law and Order Is the Government’s Top Priority: CM
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu said the NDA government has focused strongly on employment generation, as promised in its election manifesto. He highlighted that the government filled 15,591 teacher posts through the Mega DSC and has now completed the recruitment of thousands of police constables.
The Chief Minister said the state government has provided employment to nearly four lakh youth across various departments. He stressed the importance of both visible policing and technology-driven policing to prevent crime and control rowdyism.
Technology-Driven Policing to Prevent Crime
The Chief Minister advised the police force to use modern technology to stop crimes before they occur. He emphasized the role of CCTV footage and in-depth investigations in strengthening law enforcement. He also warned that some individuals are committing crimes under the guise of politics and instructed the police to remain highly alert.
Naidu noted that the crime rate has declined during the last 18 months of NDA rule. He issued a strong warning against crimes targeting women and assured strict action against offenders, regardless of their political affiliations. He also mentioned the formation of a Special Task Force to curb the ganja menace.
Stipend Hiked for Trainee Constables
In a major announcement, the Chief Minister increased the stipend for trainee constables from Rs 4,500 to Rs 12,500, bringing relief and encouragement to the newly recruited personnel. He also expressed happiness over the selection of 183 tribal women as police constables, calling it a positive step toward inclusive governance.
Pawan Kalyan Highlights Transparent Recruitment
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that around four lakh candidates applied for the constable posts, out of which 6,100 were selected, and 5,757 candidates received appointment letters on Tuesday. He also sanctioned the construction of a road to Tenumalabanda village in ASR district after a request from newly appointed constable Lekke Babu Rao.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita credited Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for completing the long-pending constable recruitment process. She said the Chief Minister worked tirelessly to fulfill the dreams of thousands of police aspirants.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Home Minister congratulated the newly appointed constables and their parents, extending best wishes for their service to the state.
