Code of Ethics

1. Purpose

This Code of Ethics defines the principles our journalists, editors, anchors, contributors, and staff follow to maintain public trust and uphold responsible journalism.

2. Accuracy and Fairness

We strive for factual, balanced, and timely reporting. All information is verified from credible sources before publication. Corrections are issued promptly and transparently.

3. Independence and Integrity

Our newsroom remains free from undue political, commercial, or personal influence. Editorial decisions are made solely on public-interest grounds.

4. Objectivity and Impartiality

We present multiple viewpoints on matters of public debate and clearly separate news from opinion, advertising, or sponsored content.

5. Respect for Privacy

We balance the public’s right to know with individuals’ right to privacy. We avoid sensationalism or intrusion unless there is an overriding public-interest justification.

6. Avoidance of Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, religion, caste, gender, or orientation is not published. We adhere to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules.

7. Transparency and Accountability

Conflicts of interest are disclosed. Paid news, advertorials, or sponsored programs are clearly labelled. Readers can report inaccuracies to grievances@yktv.in

8. Source Protection

We protect the identity of confidential sources unless legally compelled or consent is given.

9. Corrections & Grievance Redressal

A dedicated grievance officer (grievances@yktv.in and +91 92816 21162 ) will address complaints under the Press Council of India norms and the Digital Media Ethics Code Rules.

10. Continuous Improvement

All staff undergo periodic training in digital ethics, data protection, and responsible use of social media.
