The Centre has enforced tight security arrangements for Republic Day celebrations in Delhi, turning the national capital into a high-alert zone. Authorities have put a five-layer security system in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the event at Kartavya Path. More than 30,000 Delhi Police personnel, along with central armed forces, have been deployed across key locations. Officials have also set up six dedicated control rooms near Kartavya Path to monitor crowd movement, traffic, and security operations in real time.
Five-layer security across the national capital
Security agencies have strengthened checks at entry points, metro stations, and sensitive areas across Delhi. Police teams are conducting regular patrols, while surveillance has been increased through CCTV networks. In addition, quick-response teams and bomb disposal squads remain on standby throughout the celebrations. Authorities have coordinated closely with multiple agencies to avoid any security lapses during the national event.
Grand tableau display planned for Republic Day parade
This year’s Republic Day parade will feature a total of 30 tableaux, adding colour and cultural depth to the celebrations. Seventeen states and thirteen central government departments will showcase their tableaux at Kartavya Path. Each tableau reflects regional heritage, national achievements, and key policy themes, drawing attention from spectators across the country.
Indian Justice Code tableau to be a special attraction
Among the highlights, the Indian Justice Code tableau will stand out as a special attraction. West Bengal will present its tableau with the theme “Vande Mataram,” celebrating patriotism and cultural pride. Notably, Assam and Bihar will also participate with their tableaux this year, adding further diversity to the parade lineup.
Officials expect large crowds to witness the celebrations, while authorities continue to urge the public to follow security guidelines and traffic advisories. The Centre aims to ensure that Republic Day celebrations in Delhi proceed safely, smoothly, and with national pride.
