Vijayawada:
The Durga Temple Trust Board, led by Chairman Borra Radhakrishna, held a review meeting to discuss 16 major points. Executive Officer Sivashankar Naik and other board members also joined the session. They focused on the arrangements for the upcoming Bhavani Deeksha Viramana.
Bhavani Deeksha to Begin on December 11
Chairman Radhakrishna confirmed that the rituals will start on December 11 and continue for five days. He said the team is working with clear planning, and they want to ensure a smooth experience for all devotees.
Faster Darshan and Clear Guidelines
The Chairman stated that the temple aims to complete darshan within one hour, even during peak crowds.
To support the rituals:
- The team set up three homa kundas.
- They arranged 106 platforms for Deeksha completion.
- They instructed all Guru Bhavanis to register in advance.
He added that devotees will receive 24-hour darshan throughout the event.
Better Facilities for Devotees
The board identified several minor issues in the current system and started fixing them. They also placed special focus on sanitation to maintain hygiene during the rush.
Furthermore, they decided to improve the quality of prasadam. As an added benefit, the temple will now offer devotees any number of laddus they request, which will reduce long waiting lines and frustration.
