A tragic road accident on a national highway claimed three lives and left three others injured near Ankireddypalem in the Nallapadu police station limits of Guntur district on Tuesday.
According to the police, a private travels bus rammed into a car that was moving along the highway. The impact of the collision proved fatal for three passengers traveling in the car, while three others sustained serious injuries. The victims belonged to Suryapet district in Telangana and were returning home from Tirupati when the accident occurred.

Accident Near Ankireddypalem
The accident took place on the busy national highway near Ankireddypalem, causing panic among commuters. Locals rushed to the spot and alerted the police. Due to the severity of the crash, traffic movement on the highway was briefly disrupted.
Police Inspection at the Spot
South DSP Bhanodaya and CI Vamsidhar visited the accident site and inspected the scene. They gathered preliminary details and questioned the bus driver as part of the investigation. The police suspect overspeeding or negligence as a possible cause of the accident, though a detailed inquiry is underway.
Injured Shifted to Hospital
Emergency services shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Nallapadu police transported the bodies of the deceased to the Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH) mortuary for post-mortem examination.
Investigation Underway
Police have registered a case and started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Officials have urged drivers to maintain speed limits and follow traffic rules, especially on highways, to prevent such fatal incidents.
