Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police have once again taken Ravi, the alleged operator of the piracy website Ibomma, into custody for further questioning. The Nampally court granted police custody for 12 days to facilitate an in-depth investigation into multiple cases linked to the piracy network.
According to officials, Ravi faces a total of five cases. The court permitted custody in four of these cases, allowing three days of interrogation per case. As a result, the police will question him for a cumulative period of 12 days, starting today.
Investigators had earlier questioned Ravi twice for a total of eight days. However, police told the court that the probe still required crucial information. They argued that additional custody was necessary to uncover further details related to the operation and expansion of the Ibomma piracy network.
Officials believe the fresh round of questioning could reveal key insights into the website’s technical setup, financial transactions, and associated individuals. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities expect significant developments during this phase of custodial interrogation.
