GANNAVARAM: Gannavaram International Airport Director M. Lakshmikant Reddy expressed concern over the recent disruptions in IndiGo Airlines’ operations, which caused inconvenience to passengers. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he said the airport authorities regret the difficulties faced by travelers due to sudden cancellations and delays.
Reddy explained that both the airport and the airline are working closely to resolve the issues at the earliest. To improve coordination, a special team has already been formed to monitor the situation and ensure quick corrective action.
Addressing concerns over baggage handling, the Director stated that the entire system at Gannavaram Airport has been reorganized. Additional security staff have been deployed, and security protocols have been strengthened to prevent any lapses. “We will not compromise on luggage safety. Passengers can trust our systems and travel with confidence,” he assured.
Reddy added that passenger services remain the airport’s top priority. “Our team is prepared to respond immediately to any issue that arises at the airport. We are taking proactive measures across all departments to ensure passengers face no inconvenience,” he said.
The airport management said it remains committed to enhancing service quality and restoring normalcy swiftly.
