Iran has issued a strong counter-warning to the United States after Washington’s latest threats, declaring it will continue on the path shown by late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In a fiery statement, Iran’s Speaker warned both the US and Israel that any attack would be met with a response so powerful that “enemies will be forced to beg.” The warning came as Iran launched fresh missile and drone strikes targeting 27 American military bases across West Asia, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict.
Iran Vows Strong Retaliation
Reacting to US warnings, Iranian leaders said the country would not step back. The Speaker declared that “from now on, the calculations have changed.” He stressed that Iran’s response would be painful and decisive. The message was clear: Tehran is prepared for a prolonged confrontation.
Officials said the latest military action was carried out in line with Khamenei’s vision. The leadership described the strikes as part of a broader strategy to defend national sovereignty.
27 Bases Targeted Across Region
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that it targeted 27 US military facilities in one of its largest coordinated operations. Among the reported targets were Tel Nof Airbase and the Israeli military headquarters known as HaKirya in Tel Aviv. Iran also claimed it aimed at defence industry sites inside Israel.
Explosions were reported in Doha, the capital of Qatar, early Sunday morning. Witnesses said at least 11 blasts were heard across the city. Air raid sirens continued to sound in several Israeli cities as missile alerts spread.
Blasts Reported in Dubai and Iraq
In Dubai, three loud explosions were reported. Authorities believe air defence systems intercepted incoming projectiles mid-air. However, falling debris sparked a major fire at the busy Jebel Ali Port.
Iran also claimed it struck an MSP vessel supplying ammunition to US naval forces using four drones. The operation was described as part of “Operation True Promise.”
Meanwhile, Bahrain issued public safety alerts, urging citizens to move to secure locations when sirens sound. In Iraq, explosions were reported near Erbil Airport, sending thick smoke into the sky. Tensions also rose around Baghdad’s Green Zone.
Region on Edge After Khamenei’s Death
These developments come amid heightened anger in Iran following Khamenei’s reported death. Public emotion remains intense, and leaders have promised continued action. Military analysts warn that the scale of retaliation signals a dangerous new phase in the Iran-US-Israel conflict.
As missile exchanges expand across borders, the Middle East faces growing instability. Global powers are watching closely, fearing that further escalation could draw more nations into the crisis.
