Furthermore, strict physical training keeps soldiers fit and confident. The IDF allows limited smartphone use, which enables soldiers to post photos in uniform on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. These images often gain massive attention online.
Additionally, Israeli soldiers travel in uniform and carry weapons even after duty hours. This visibility further strengthens the perception worldwide.
However, Israel also faces criticism over this image. Critics argue that the country uses female soldiers as a soft power tool. According to them, glamorous images project Israel as modern and democratic. Some critics also claim that such content distracts global attention from the harsh realities of war and civilian casualties, especially during conflicts involving Palestine.
Despite these debates, one fact remains clear. The idea that the Israeli Army selects women based on beauty lacks evidence. Women in the IDF have evolved from support roles to frontline combat positions. During recent conflicts, including Hamas attacks, female soldiers played key operational roles. Some even faced captivity, highlighting the risks they share equally with male soldiers.
